Worldwide Quarterly Tracker Team
Loren Loverde, Program Vice President of IDC's Worldwide PC Tracker Program, is responsible for managing the business development, research coverage, project execution, and coordination of PC Tracker analysts in IDC's regional research centers. Mr. Loverde is also the lead analyst for the Worldwide PC tracker providing perspective on PC vendor performance and positioning at the worldwide level and for major geographies. He also serves on PC vendor advisory councils and participates frequently in industry briefings.

Prior to directing IDC's Worldwide PC Tracker, Mr. Loverde directed IDC's hardware tracking programs for PCs, Servers, and Printers in Latin America. He also managed several research projects focused on PC market issues including projects tracking small assemblers and distribution channels for PCs and acted as an adviser on research process and product development.

Before joining IDC in 1994, Mr. Loverde worked as a consultant conducting primary research on distribution channels in Latin America. Mr. Loverde holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He has lived in Mexico, Brazil, and Spain including attendance at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese.
