With over 15 years of research and market analysis experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Avneesh Saxena is reputed be to one of the region's foremost opinion leaders in the area of datacenter transformation, end-to-end virtualization and infrastructure management and automation.
Based in IDC's Asia/Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong, Avneesh is the Group Vice President heading the Domain Research team which includes personal computing, monitors, peripherals, servers, storage, networking, software and services research.
In this role, he leads the regional research teams involved in building IDC's successful research tracker programs and producing core market data used across all of IDC's Asia Pacific wide research reports and consulting projects.
Working with his research teams, Avneesh will strive to create better process efficiencies, greater depth in analysis, and invest to create augmented views of IDC's research that ultimately will help IDC's clientele understand the market better. Given today's dynamic market, Avneesh is also involved in building synergistic collaboration across IDC's Asia/Pacific Practice Group, IDC's Insights and IDC's Consulting to provide a holistic market view and information for customers.
Over his past 13 years with IDC, Avneesh has successfully led several of IDC's key research projects and mentored many analysts in his team. With his extensive regional experience, combined with his dynamic ability to successfully work across research domains, Avneesh is the ideal head for the diversified hardware team.
Avneesh is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist at industry events and global conferences. His views on the Asia/Pacific hardware industry have been quoted in most leading regional and trade publications such as CNBC, Bloomberg, South China Morning Post, Business Times, the Hong Kong Economic Journal, Asia Computer Weekly, Computer World and Computer Times.
Avneesh holds a Masters in Business Administration from Gwalior, India and a Bachelor in Commerce from Delhi University.
