This IDC study examines the team collaborative applications market from 2009 to 2011. Revenue and market share of the leading vendors are provided for 2011. "Social experiences will continue to shape the way end users collaborate," says Vanessa Thompson, research manager for IDC's Enterprise Collaboration and Social Solutions program. "Compartmentalized and specific collaboration is still required by many organizations, and team collaborative applications that provide closed loop and B2B communications will remain alongside more open social solutions in the near term."
