This IDC study represents a vendor assessment of the incorporation of social technology with integrated talent management through the IDC MarketScape model. This assessment discusses both quantitative and qualitative characteristics that explain a vendor's success in this market.
"The market for incorporating social technology in talent management is as yet nascent. IDC finds that while progress is being made, few leaders have emerged, but this is changing quickly," says Lisa Rowan, program director, HR, Talent, and Learning Strategies for IDC. "The landscape may look quite different in 2013 as a number of vendors have made recent acquisitions or new product introductions, with plans for rolling out new capabilities in social learning, workforce network analysis, and collaboration."
