Abstract

This IDC Flash presents some key findings and inferences regarding the recent release of the Verizon Wireless (VZW) Share Everything Plan and the impending deployment of AT&T's Mobile Share Plan, specifically from the standpoint of whether these new pricing schemas are a suitable fit for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). While both carriers' plans contain subtle differences, they represent a significant directional shift in the way mobile operators are valuing and, therefore, pricing their portfolio of services. Consumers are being left with fewer choices for a wireless services plan, but SMBs continue to have a steady selection of alternatives available for their specific needs. What remains to be seen is where these SMBs place shared plans on their totem pole of wireless voice and data options.
