Abstract

This IDC Presentation provides results from 13 executive interviews conducted during February and March, 2012, with IT executives and service providers. To participate in the study interviews, the customer and/or service provider had to have deployed a converged system in an IT environment.

The duration of the interview was one hour, and the purpose of the interview was to uncover technology problems and solutions, the funding and procurement process for converged systems, and the operational impact for their use. Interviewees were sent an interview guide ahead of time to prepare. Findings from these interviews are included in this report, although the results are purely qualitative in nature and are not statistically significant.

This report is the second in a series of reports included in the Special Report entitled Converged Systems 2012: State of the Market and Future Outlook. For more information on all reports included in the report series, please refer to www.idc.com.
