This IDC study analyzes various technology offerings that have been built with the employee-liable device population in mind. It explores mobile virtualization technology, from both a VDI and a mobile device virtualization perspective, as well as other BYOD-friendly solutions that provide virtual partitioning of corporate data from personal data on the device.
"As the number of companies with a BYOD population continues to increase, organizations require solutions that offer mobile employees secure access to the information they need to do their jobs," says Stacy Crook, senior analyst, Enterprise Mobility at IDC. "The solutions highlighted in this document allow companies to do just that — either by extending back-end virtualization technologies out to mobile devices or by providing a means to virtually partition corporate data from personal information on BYOD devices."
