This IDC study uses the IDC MarketScape model to provide an assessment of nine vendors participating in the worldwide enterprise telepresence market. "Although IDC expects video to remain a key component of collaboration, and video continues to place high on the list of priorities for many organizations, the enterprise video market is not without its challenges today," said Rich Costello, senior research analyst, Worldwide Unified Communications and Enterprise Communications Infrastructure. "The high-end immersive segment in particular is being challenged by high-quality, lower-cost, and even free videoconferencing solutions and cloud-based offerings that are having a significant impact on enterprise customer decisions regarding video deployment options."
