This IDC study provides an analysis of the 2012–2016 business rules management systems (BRMSs) market forecast. "The relatively small business rules management systems market is expected to generally outgrow many software markets as many of the vendors in this market have made recent acquisitions and are exposing their customer bases to this productive technology," says Al Hilwa, program director of Application Development Software research at IDC. "This forecast is revised down from the prior forecast to adjust for the new reality of the global economy."
