This IDC study contains the worldwide and U.S. IT consulting spending forecast for 2014–2018. The document describes the market opportunities in the Americas, EMEA, Asia/Pacific, and the United States and explores the relative impact of technology adoption on consulting purchases. It provides several recommendations for IT consulting vendors and purchasers of IT consulting services.
"Uncertainty in the global economy resulted in less-than-expected IT consulting spending growth in most global regions during 2013. However, the worldwide ITC spending growth will revive in 2014 as spending in the mature markets is on the up, and buying confidence has started to come back strongly in the emerging markets as well. As a result, growth is expected to stay positive throughout the forecast period," said Ali Zaidi, senior analyst, IT Consulting and Systems Integration Business Strategies at IDC.
