This IDC study analyzes the IT and business services competitive landscape by examining and comparing the top 10 service providers worldwide. The study looks at the performance of these firms across IDC's three macromarkets (project-based, outsourcing, and support and training services) and macroregions (the Americas, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific).
"Both the makeup and the order of the top 10 worldwide services vendors have changed more dramatically in 2013 than in any other year prior to IDC's tracking of services revenue. While the order of the top 5 vendors in terms of worldwide services revenue was unchanged, there were two new entrants into the top 10, with Cisco and Tata Consultancy Services replacing NEC and Hitachi, as well as Capgemini moving from the 8th position to the 6th position, thus moving both CSC and NTT DATA down one position, respectively." said Chad Huston, senior research analyst with IDC's Worldwide Services team.
