Abstract

This IDC study examines the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan), or APEJ, enterprise resource management (ERM) applications market for 2011, and reports the revenue and market share of the top 5 vendors for 2011, with all data reported in constant currency (US$). This study also lists out market performance by functional market, and also provides essential guidance on strategic priorities for ERM vendors.

"The APEJ ERM applications market grew by 11.8% in 2011 in constant 2H11 currency. Although the economic conditions were not conducive, factors like IFRS compliance, and emphasis on talent management triggered traction in the financial accounting and human capital management markets, respectively. Most of the major vendors posted good growth in 2011, but the smaller vendors had a bit of a struggle due to economic volatility," says Sabharinath Bala, research manager of IDC's Asia/Pacific Enterprise Application Software.
