Abstract

There are many factors that are currently driving increased spending in ICT managed and cloud services. Economic uncertainty has put greater focus on cost optimization by many enterprises across the region, and managed and cloud services are some of the options that are being seriously explored. Organizations are also looking at managed services as a way to acquire new technology to harness their competitive advantage in the region. The Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ ICT outsourcing and managed services market is expected to reach US$22 billion in 2012, with an annual growth rate of about 8%. Discrete outsourcing or managed services is expected to outpace the market with growth rates of approximately 11%.
