This IDC Presentation provides an analysis and assessment of the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) APEJ IT Services and Cloud Services deals based on a rolling four-quarter view from 3Q10 through 2Q15 (period ending June 30, 2015) by leveraging IDC's BuyerPulse Services Deals Database, the world's largest database of services deals, which currently contains more than 58,000 contracts.
Enterprises in the region are focused on transforming their products, services and business processes to interact with their customers, suppliers, and other important stakeholders through digital channels and platforms. Customers are also increasingly adopting 3rd Platform technologies with an increase in adoption of mobility and analytics services and cloud being the underlined service model.
In addition, the combination of influx of regional as well as local and pure-play cloud services providers, a turbulent economy, new delivery models, and increasing pressure on services providers strengthen their industry-specific and also consulting solutions are changing the market for IT and cloud services deals. These changes involve shifts in key deal metrics such as services total contract value (TCV), average services contract value, and average length of contracts, as well as changes in where the best opportunities are, whether by geography, industry, or deal size.
IDC shows that success in deal making will require vendors to pursue key markets, incorporate strategic capabilities, and ensure that they are positioned optimally.
In particular, this presentation addresses the following questions:
- Where is the spending occurring in IT services and cloud services deals by geography, IT services market segments, deal sizes and industries?
