Abstract

This IDC study delivers a comprehensive analysis of the impact media tablets are having on the hardcopy market in ANZ through a quantitative analysis of market performance based on IDC's renowned tracker products, along with the results of two related IDC surveys: The Australia/New Zealand Next-Generation Workspace Ecosystem CIO and IT Decision Maker Survey and the ANZ Enterprise Employee Survey.

"The jury is still out on whether the adoption of media tablets and other mobile devices, like smartphones, will either negatively or positively impact printing," says IDC research manager, Trevor Clarke. "There will, however, be changes and impacts felt at more granular levels and in more granular ways. This will differ according to document or workflow type, user type, workgroup, organisation size, and industry in the future."
