This IDC study examines the Australia Big Data services market for the period 2013–2018. According to IDC estimates, the Big Data services market in Australia reached US$76.6 million in 2013 and is expected to total US$238.1 million in 2018 with a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25.5%. At 31.7%, Australia was the top contributor to the total Big Data services market in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) in 2014. IDC observes that the Big Data and analytics (BDA) deployments carried out within Australia are amongst the most mature in the Asia/Pacific region but lag behind those of other mature ICT economies in the United States and Europe.
