This IDC study details the performance of the Canadian server market and major developments during 2011 and presents a forecast for the market for 2012–2016. Detailed forecasts and the underlying assumptions and rationale used to develop the forecasts are provided. The Canadian server market showed a spending of US$1.40 billion in 2011 and is forecast to decline by 7.2% in 2012. The market is forecast to decline by an average of 0.5% per year from 2011 to 2016. "The server market revenue is forecast to decline in Canada for 2012. To grow, vendors will need to grab share from the competition. This means that they need to focus on the right customer segment with the right product solutions," says Tarun Bhasin, research manager, IDC Canada.
