Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation explores Canadian organizations' deployment choices and approaches to consumption-based subscriptions for dedicated digital infrastructure as well as factors driving consideration or use of as-a-service infrastructure. In IDC Canada's 2023 IT Advisory Panel (ITAP) n5 Survey, we asked 498 Canadian IT decision-makers about their mix of deployments in terms of storage and compute capacity, including traditional on-premises infrastructure, dedicated private cloud, dedicated edge/branch, and public cloud IaaS. Their existing capacity deployed is compared with their planned deployments in two years.
