Abstract

This presentation occurred on January 10, 2012 via webcast. On that date, CORE (Centre for Outsourcing Research and Education) and IDC Canada released the findings of the fourth Outsourcing Monitor. The Monitor is the combined effort of CORE, the foremost outsourcing association in Canada, and IDC, the leading Canadian IT market intelligence firm. With this backing, The Outsourcing Monitor is the definitive source for Canadian outsourcing market information, trends and activity. The Monitor reports of IT and BPO outsourcing activity, including metrics such as the current levels of contract signings, average length of contract, outsourcing spending and pipeline or the value of the outsourcing contracts vendors are pursuing. The Monitor also includes commentary on market trends, how IT outsourcing is helping Canadian companies on a global basis and areas that challenge both vendor and client alike. The Monitor is founded on IDC surveys and Services Contract Database, along recurring in-person interviews with vendors, advisors and outsourcing decision makers.
