This IDC study details the performance of the Canadian server market during 2014 and presents a forecast for the market for 2015–2019. Detailed forecasts and the underlying assumptions and rationale used to develop the forecasts are provided.
The Canadian server market showed spending of US$1.17 billion in 2014, a decline of 3.7% over 2013, and is forecast to decline by another 9.0% in 2015. The market is forecast to decline by an average of 0.7% per year for the 2014–2019 period.
"The Canadian server market no longer offers the high growth opportunities it once did some years ago. To grow in this market, vendors need to identify the pockets of growth that still exist within the market. These could be particular product segments, customer segments, industry segments, or some combination thereof," says Tarun Bhasin, research manager, Servers, IDC Canada.
