This study provides a CEE-regional perspective on the global top 10 predictions that appear in IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Mobility 2016 Predictions (IDC #259815, November 2015). These predictions help the IT buyer with decisions when evaluating and investing in mobility solutions, strategies, and initiatives.
We advise decision makers to approach each prediction in three steps:
- Assess its relevance. Does this apply to my business? Does it concern my role? Can I reasonably ignore it? Can I influence the way we respond? Strategy is, after all, as much about what you decide not to do as it is about what you decide to do.
- Assess its urgency. Does it apply to me now or in the future? If it applies in the future, when do I have to get started to deliver enabling capabilities as needed?
- Assess its resource requirements. What resources do I need at what costs? What is the opportunity cost of reacting? What do I have to speed up to achieve it?
