Abstract

This IDC study provides an analysis of end-user demand for the China cloud computing market using the data from IDC's 2010 Cloud Computing End-User Survey. Included in this study are trends, challenges, and an overview of the current demand side of the China cloud computing market in 2010.

"IDC believes that cloud computing will be the hotspot of the future IT market as it provides information services platform for the EaaS (everything as a service) trend. End users are increasingly beginning to consider building a cloud computing platform. However, the cloud computing market is still in the early stage, and most of the end users do not have enough experience or knowledge to build a cloud computing platform. They need vendors to provide better services from the consulting and training phase," says Thomas Zhou, senior research manager, Enterprise Systems and Software Research, IDC China.
