With its new datacenter in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, BT is launching a sustainable and green platform for managed hosting, telehousing and cloud services. This additional location doubles BT's existing datacenter capacity in Frankfurt and Munich. The datacenter consists primarily of blade server- and storage-systems, with each rack already connected to the appropriate copper and glass-fiber networks. Through the usage of shared storage capacity, BT can rapidly provide its customers with datacenter services.
