Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into how digital innovation investments across Europe are being impacted by current market conditions. It provides a view of the impact on European organizations as well as a heat map in terms of attention to cost optimization across core European geographies.

This document contains data from wave 10 (November 2022) of IDC's European Future Enterprise Resilience & Spending Survey. The purpose of this monthly survey series is to explore topics related to IT spending priorities, digital resiliency, and technology/organizational priorities as organizations adapt and react to the reopening of business and global commerce, as well as navigate new market uncertainties related to inflation, geopolitical tensions, and supply chain disruptions.

The wave 10 survey collected replies from 196 respondents across Europe (more than 500 FTEs), with participants from both IT and line-of-business (LOB) decision makers.

"With a focus on cost elimination, vendors should help organizations prove value realization from technology investments to get the right balance between business innovation and cost optimization. This is particularly important since European organizations already lag their global peers in terms of their ability to deliver digital innovation," said Jen Thomson, associate vice president, IDC's Cloud Innovation and Services Europe.
