This IDC study investigates the current state of infrastructure operations management by Japan IT service providers. At present, in the infrastructure operations management, new developments toward automation and multicloud compatibility are on the move. This IDC study report focuses on how providers should apply their own services and systems going forward. IDC Japan communications senior analyst Yoko Ono argues that, "Efforts toward improving operations quality and efficiency through the use of cognitive technologies have begun in infrastructure operations management services. This is a significant development that will change traditional operations management systems. IT service providers need get to work on implementing cognitive technologies in their in-house systems to ensure that they do not fall behind in these developments."
