In 1H15, the Japan BA software market recorded a high growth due to more companies using Big Data technologies such as increased use of unstructured data in the marketing segment, as well as due to increased utilization scenarios as a result of penetration of self-service BI tools.
In this market environment, "new technologies such as Big Data and analytics, self-service BI, and cloud utilization have been launched, but results can only be achieved with the existence of companywide data utilization systems, including operations. BA software vendors should support the construction of such data utilization systems instead of being just a product provider," says Shintaro Kusachi, market analyst, Software and Security, IDC Japan.
