Abstract

This IDC study covers the print services market and forecast for the Western European market, which represent an addressable market of $14.8 billion in 2016. This report is segmented in terms of Managed Print Services (MPS) which are typically aimed at the large enterprises and Basic Print Services (BPS) which tend to target the SMB.

"Print services have been evolving for a number of years and the vast majority of hardcopy vendors play some active role in the marketplace. IDC believes there are still significant opportunities to be found within the expanses of Western Europe's far reaching SMB market. Messaging around cost savings still resonate strongly with many customers with in this segment despite the fact that value added services are increasingly being offered. The channel will continue to grow in importance in targeting the SMB market and many vendors are now looking to strengthen and expand partnerships. In the high-end the value proposition of MPS continues to expand as the major players look to reposition themselves and IT services and BPO providers in a fast evolving competitive landscape." – Leigh Worthing, Senior Analyst, IDC.
