Abstract
This IDC Survey document summarizes key cloud adoption trends across Sub-Saharan Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa) in 2023. The study draws on IDC's Enterprise Public and Private Cloud Survey, 2023, conducted among organizations with 100+ employees, and IDC's Cloud Survey, 2023, conducted among entities with 250+ employees. Both surveys were run in January of this year among organizations from across vertical sectors. The topics presented include organizations' cloud strategies, planned spending in relation to various cloud environments, the use of public cloud services versus private IT services, the use or planned use of hybrid cloud, and the reasons some organizations prefer to rely on their own datacenters.
