This IDC study presents a five-year forecast for Thailand ICT spending in 2011–2016. Aishwarya Kapoor, senior research analyst, IDC Thailand, highlights, "2011 was marked as a strong recovery year for the entire ICT market in Thailand, with the appointment of a new government and their new, supportive ICT policy. However, the unexpected countrywide flooding has impacted the entire IT industry and has resulted in a shortage of IT hardware supplies and the collapse of telecom infrastructures. The consequences from the crisis are reflected in negative growth of the ICT market in 4Q11."
