Ron Glaz is a Program Director for IDC's Digital Capture Devices and Photofinishing research. In this role, he is responsible for establishing research agenda and defining research initiatives for the increasingly robust and expanding digital imaging market, including digital camera, digital camcorder, camera phones, scanners, and personal content solutions. In addition to fulfilling the program's deliverables, Mr. Glaz also manage field research and custom consulting projects related to digital imaging and personal content.

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Glaz was Manager of Research Analysis at Xionics Document Technologies. There he analyzed market and industry trends for printers, MFP, scanners, and digital cameras, while supporting product management with development of new business plans and strategies. Mr. Glaz was also responsible for product marketing of embedded MFP technology.

Additionally, Mr. Glaz spent time with Digital Equipment Corporation as a Product Marketing Manager for desktops. In addition to his product marketing management responsibilities, he worked closely with direct and channels sales force.

Mr. Glaz is frequently quoted in such publications as Wall Street Journal, Investment Business Daily, Forbes, USA Today, New York Times, Reuter, Associated Press, San Jose Mercury News, and numerous industry publications. He holds an MBA and a BS in management information systems from Northeastern University.
