
Ron Glaz
Program Director, Hardcopy Peripherals: Software and Services

Ron Glaz is a Program Director for IDC's Hardcopy Peripherals: Software and Services research. In this role, he is responsible for writing research in the software and services arena, including document solutions, management print services channel, and document capture solutions.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Glaz managed IDC's Digital Capture research group. During this time he and his team established the industry's most robust research agendas and defined research initiatives for digital capture technologies such as digital camera, digital camcorder, camera phones, and scanners. In addition, Mr. Glaz also managed field research and custom consulting projects related to document capture technologies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Glaz was Manager of Research Analysis at Xionics Document Technologies. There he analyzed market and industry trends for printers, MFP, scanners, and digital cameras, while supporting product management with development of new business plans and strategies. Mr. Glaz was also responsible for product marketing of embedded MFP technology.
Additionally, Mr. Glaz spent time with Digital Equipment Corporation as a Product Marketing Manager for desktops. In addition to his product marketing management responsibilities, he worked closely with both the direct and channels sales force.
Mr. Glaz holds an MBA and a BS in management information systems from Northeastern University.
