Amy Lind is a Research Manager with IDC's Enterprise Voice & IP Communications Services program and is a member of the Unified Communications research team. Ms. Lind provides analysis, forecasting, and consulting on voice and IP communications industry dynamics, service provider positioning, business model innovation, and industry evolution. Specifically, her research focuses on the evolution of enterprise voice services including the migration from legacy voice to emerging VoIP services such as hosted IP Centrex and SIP trunking as well as unified communications, telepresence, and enterprise video. Ms. Lind also provides in-depth analysis of the strategies telecom carriers and cable operators are employing to deploy and market fixed broadband services such as DSL, cable modems, FTTH, and satellite broadband to consumers and enterprise customers.
Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Lind was a research specialist with Accenture's Communications and High-Tech practice and with The Boston Consulting Group's High Technology management consulting practice. She also previously worked as a research analyst in IDC's Investment Research program where she was responsible for a number of IDC's large financial and consulting accounts.
She has an A.B. degree in American Studies from Smith College in Northampton, MA.
