As director for Systems, Software, and Storage Consulting, William Manning is responsible for developing and executing custom studies in support of the market development and business planning efforts of worldwide systems , software, and storage clients. He conducts market research and consulting engagements to evaluate emerging market opportunities, assess product requirements, and provide market segmentations.
Mr. Manning has 13 years of consulting experience as both an independent contractor and project manager. Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Manning was a partner in an IDC strategic business focused on high technology consulting and professional writing. In that capacity, he worked on a variety of special assignments and served as editor of The Gray Sheet, IDC's computer industry report newsletter.
Mr. Manning holds a B.A. in history from Albion College in Michigan.
