Alexander Motsenigos is a Program Vice President for IDC's Global Services Markets and Trends team. In his role he leads a team that is responsible for IDC's Services data product offerings, which include the Worldwide Services Contracts Analysis, Worldwide Quarterly Services Tracker, and Worldwide Services Market Forecaster. Mr. Motsenigos provides research, financial analysis, benchmarking and consulting on key aspects of the leading organizations in the global services industry. One of the key research areas Mr. Motsenigos leads is IDC's Worldwide Services Contracts Analysis program, which today represents the largest and richest information repository of IT and business services deals in the world, offering tangible metrics to evaluate buying patterns in service offerings and vendor track records across service type, industry, and geography.

Prior to this role, Mr. Motsenigos was the senior research analyst for IDC's Globalization Services and Knowledge Management Services. In this role, he provided research, analysis, and consulting on key aspects of the knowledge management and globalization services markets.

In his career with IDC, Mr. Motsenigos has been the recipient of numerous company research and product quality awards. In 2008, he received IDC's highest research honor, the James Peacock Memorial Award for professional excellence in market research.

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Motsenigos performed independent consulting and research projects with U.S. Wireless Corporation, Cambridge Technology Partners, Ross Research, and Northeastern University. Mr. Motsenigos holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, graduating with Beta Gamma Sigma honors. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a minor in Latin American Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
