Giuliana Folco joined IDC in Italy in 1997 as senior analyst for the IDC European Vertical Markets Expertise Center. She has held a number of positions in the European Vertical Markets, today Industry Solutions Group, and was appointed research Vice President in February 2007.
With her experience in vertical market and SME analysis and consulting, Folco has developed a strong knowledge of industry dynamics, business requirements, pain points, and vertical-specific implications on IT demand. She also focuses on demand for solutions by key implementation area and go-to-market models for key verticals at major IT vendors.
Folco is the author of several cross-vertical IT studies and has been responsible for major consulting projects around Western European vertical market and SMEs. Folco has a degree in economics from the Bocconi University in Milan (Italy), majoring in operational research.
