As responsible for IDC in Mexico, Fierro makes sure that all services offered are made with quality and accuracy in an impartial and objective way. He actively participates in research of global matters so as to identify new trends foreseeing technological evolution. He has developed several models, remarking one referring to the maturity and technological adoption focused to measure competitiveness among companies. One of his main activities is to maintain a constant program of research by using actual methodologies that will guarantee the collection of information as well as the realization of forecasts in addition to a continuous evangelization of the industry.
His technological knowledge comprises integrated solutions evolving professional services, software and hardware, as well as outstanding topics such as outsourcing and convergence.
Edgar has been developing a number of projects for companies of several segments such as Financial, Manufacturing and Government. Nevertheless, it is also important to mention that he is continuously asked for advice from technological companies, which plan their processes and define their strategic decisions based on his knowledge about market offer and demand.
Prior to joining IDC, he has been a business and information technology consultant in PricewaterhouseCoopers, and also a financial sector consultant in the multinational company EDS. Edgar has a Bachelor Degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a Master's Degree in Administration, both of them from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey Mexico (ITESM-CEM).
