Research Director, Worldwide Software and Public Cloud Services Trackers
Rasmus Andsbjerg manages the Worldiwde Software and Public Cloud Services Trackers. This involves overall responsibility for reconciliation of IDC's Software and Public Cloud Services revenue data, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy across forecasts and shares. Working closely with more than 130 IDC analysts worldwide, Rasmus ensures the timely delivery of semiannual Software and Public Cloud Services data across more than 50 countries and regions.
Starting his IDC career in IDC's Copenhagen office Andsbjerg worked in various local research projects with a broad view on IT, including IT services, hardware, software, and telecoms. He soon transitioned to the Western European Software research group to manage the European Business Intelligence and Analytic Applications research service. Andsbjerg was later tasked with establishing a dedicated European Software Tracker research team and has been part of a group of worldwide and regional software Tracker analysts driving IDC's Worldwide Software Tracker initiatives. In 2015 Andsbjerg assumed responsibility of IDC's Worldwide Software and Public Cloud Services Trackers and moved from Copenhagen to IDC's Headquarter in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Before joining IDC, Andsbjerg received a master's degree in business strategy and management from the Aarhus School of Business, while in parallel working tutoring bachelor students, in subjects such as research methodologies and organizational behavior and theory. Working at the Institute for Organization and Management at the Aarhus School of Business, Andsbjerg managed various research projects. In addition, during this period Andsbjerg held a part-time job in a local business research company, Aalund Business Research.
