Eszter Morvay
Research Manager, European Personal Computing

Team: EMEA Personal Computing.
Eszter Morvay joined IDC in 2005 and is now a research manager for IDC's European Personal Computing group, based in London. Morvay manages the EMEA Quarterly PC Tracker and plays a pivotal role in driving the program from a research, process, and development perspective. This involves coordination and research management internally as well as being a key interface for IDC's Europe-wide clients. In her role, Morvay outlines key PC market dynamics and outlook, vendor strategies, and technology and product developments, and also focuses on hot topics such as mini-notebooks.

Previously, Morvay worked for Philips in Belgium, where she was responsible for market research and analysis into the optical storage market and monitoring technology and price trends. She also wrote studies about the evolution of the optical storage and PC markets and conducted in-depth analysis of product life cycles.

Morvay graduated in 2002 from Oxford Brookes University — International Business School in Budapest, Hungary, and holds a BA in marketing. She also acquired a certificate in marketing communications from the International Advertising Association.
