Selina Wang is a Research Manager for IDC China Computing System Research. She focuses on research and analysis of China hardware market, the providing of intelligence, and consulting services for local and MNC IT vendors and industry clients. Her research scope includes both industry market, such as Education, Government, Finance, Telecom, Healthcare, Electric Power sub-markets, etc., as well as consumer market, which tracks the status and trends in desktop, notebook, hard disk, motherboard, and related hardware products.
Since joining IDC China in 2004, Selina has conducted hardware related research in market sizing and forecasting, OEM vendors competence, multi-channel operations, consumer and industry end-user IT infrastructure applications, and related sections. During her period at IDC, Selina has developed a deep understanding of the hardware market, including product and technology mapping, pricing, channel operations, marketing campaigns, end-user behavior, applications, etc. She also has established and maintains good relationships with core OEM vendors and channel partners. Besides composing monthly, quarterly and annual market tracker reports, Selina has conducted a lot of consulting projects for famous local and MNC IT vendors, where her work was highly appreciated. Her major responsibilities include building up client relationships, developing business opportunities, composing project proposals, collaborating internal and external resources, costing control, questionnaire design, progress and quality control, client expectation management, quantitative and qualitative analysis, report delivering, and presenting to client.
Selina holds a Bachelor¡¯s Degree in Management from Beijing International Studies University.
