Letchmy Ganapathy is the Associate Director at IDC's Asia/Pacific End-User Research & Statistics (ERS) Group, based in Singapore. She is responsible for demand-side research for both custom consulting and syndicated research engagements, assessing end-user sentiments in the corporate/commercial, public sector, consumer sector, as well as in the suppliers/channel partners segment. In her role, Letchmy manages a team of statisticians and sets the standard for integrating demand-side research into analytical processes. As a result, IDC is able to offer reliable market intelligence data to help clients make sound business decisions.
As part of her job scope, Letchmy manages IDC's Asia/Pacific outbound research Survey Call Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in Beijing, China. IDC Asia Pacifics Malaysian call center conducts enduser research fieldwork for the Asia Pacific countries, providing end-to-end solutions to seamlessly design and execute demand side surveys; while the China call center focuses on the Reseller & Retailer channel interviews in local china market. Letchmy is responsible for the selection and qualification of external fieldwork partners in Asia/Pacific to complement IDCs survey needs.
Letchmy joined IDC with 15 years of industry experience in the IT and electronics industries. She worked eight years for Hewlett Packard / Compaq in Total Customer Experience (TCE) and Quality Management roles, and drove customer satisfaction and channel TCE studies across Asia/Pacific countries. During her stint at Hewlett Packard / Compaq, Letchmy specialized in research methodologies and analytics, and was the key personnel responsible for interfacing with research houses. She also has several years of experience in Quality functions at Thomson-Toshiba and NEC.
Letchmy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) degree from the University of Western Sydney, an Advanced Diploma in Quality Engineering and a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
