Elain Yi is the Senior Market Analyst in IDC's China Services and Telecommunication Research Group, focusing on the research of the wireless equipment market and IPTV services in the PRC. In this role, she is responsible for the China quarterly WLAN equipment trackers and IPTV/mobile TV research. Elain's research analysis and viewpoints are regularly published in several mainstream media of telecom industry.
In addition, Elain has also managed many customized consulting projects, including market entry opportunity research for overseas telecom carriers, enterprise/industry information technology development of mobile carriers, and competitive intelligence and channel study for equipment vendors.
Prior to joining IDC, Elain worked in ZTE as a product manager in the marketing department. She had also previously worked in a well-known domestic telecom consulting company.
Elain Yi graduated from the School of Telecommunication Engineering of XiDian University (University of Electronic Science and Technology of XI¡¯AN), with a minor in English.
