Telecommunications Research Director, IDC Italy
Daniela Rao is responsible for research on the Italian telecommunications and advanced services markets. She carries out research for competitive analysis and market demand studies, providing information on market structure, dynamics, and content from both the supply and demand sides, for consultancy projects and for market analysis studies for large ICT operators and public bodies.
Rao has 12 years' experience in economic research coordination and responsibility for content management, budgeting activities, and sales management. She has strong expertise in the analysis of market supply and demand dynamics in advanced communications, broadband infrastructures, and ebusiness services. In addition, she has experience in market assessment and forecasting of new ICT services and technologies, analysis of the main ICT players' financial and economic indicators, and benchmarking methodologies that are used to define indicators and compare pricing policies of the leading telecommunications players in Western Europe.
Since 2007, Rao has been vice president of ANFoV (the National Association of Fixed-Mobile Telecommunication Convergence Operators), which includes some of the largest Italian ICT operators and vendors.
