Ajit Deosthali is Research Manager for IDC's Memory and Short Range Wireless Semiconductors. In this role, he is responsible for sizing and forecasting the market, reporting on vendor shares, tracking technology trends, as well as analyzing pricing and supply & demand for Flash memory and various short range Wireless Semiconductor technologies including Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS.

Mr. Deosthali brings in more than 13 years of industry experience to IDC. Prior to joining IDC, he spent 11 years with Intel Corporation in silicon & platform design, technical marketing, ecosystem enabling and strategic product planning. His entrepreneurial experience involves company valuation, exit policy analysis and acquisition of a small/medium-sized manufacturing firm.

Mr. Deosthali holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune, India; a M.S. in electrical engineering from The University of Toledo, Ohio; and an MBA from Babson College, Massachusetts.
