Fernando Maldonado covers the software market in Spain and advises various companies in the development of their business strategy, analyzing market dynamics and opportunities. Maldonado has more than seven years' experience as a market analyst, for the most part at IDC, although he has also been a market analyst (utilities) at the Spanish National Grid (REE). He also spent three years at Telefónica subsidiary TPI, where he was a product manager for new technologies.

Maldonado has a BSc (hons) in economics and a masters in industrial economics from the University Carlos II de Madrid. He has also completed specialization courses at the same university on the economics of telecommunications and economics of the electricity sector.
