Tsuneo Tosaka has more 20 years of consulting and technical experience in the Information communication and Technology industry. As the Research Manager of IDC's Japan Security Research Group, he tracks, analyzes and forecasts the Information Security market in Japan, creating insightful deliverables for key Security clients. Besides security appliance quarterly market sizing and security software semi annual market sizing, he also undertakes competitive analysis, market segmentation by vertical industries & business segment, and channel dynamics impacting the information security market in Japan. With his extensive knowledge and deep understanding of information security market, Mr. Tosaka has been invited to participate in various consulting engagements, delivering insight and strategic recommendations to IDC's clients.
Before joining IDC, Mr. Tosaka served at Trend Micro in charge of a technical support management for channel/partner segment and prior to Trend Micro, he served at Microsoft in charge of a technical support management for OEM/Embedded segment in a technical support management career spanning 6 years. Prior Microsoft, he served at JRI (Japan Research Institute, ltd.) in a network engineer and consulting career for more 10 years. His illustrious career extended beyond networking to include information security.
Tsuneo Tosaka holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Shibaura Institute of Technology.
