Juan Sacchi joined IDC in October 2010 as a senior research analyst in the European Services team. Based in London, he is responsible for the European IT Security Services research service and related consulting engagements.

As a part of his security research, Sacchi covers areas such as consulting, implementation services, outsourcing, and managed services around IT security, and how these have evolved over time with the introduction of new technologies and trends such as cloud computing, IT consumerization, BYOD, and the explosion of social media and collaboration in businesses.

Sacchi is also responsible for IDC's forecasting process for the European IT services market, and takes part in the ongoing competitive analysis of the European services market and growing research coverage of other hot topics.

Before joining IDC, Sacchi worked as a consultant with Accenture and Neoris, engaging in IT consulting, business consulting, and business process reengineering projects, based in Latin America and Europe. Sacchi also worked in Global Crossing (now Level 3) in strategic marketing and business development roles based in Buenos Aires and focused on the Latin American market, where he gained significant knowledge of IT managed services and its market dynamics.

Sacchi has an M Sc in industrial engineering from National Technological University in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and an international MBA from MIP School of Management, Polytechnic of Milan (Italy), which he concluded with a consultancy project focused on business development activities at Alcatel-Lucent Italy.
