Jane Doorly
Vice President, European Research

Jane Doorly joined IDC in October 2010 as Vice President, European Research.  She has responsibility for the European Software and Services research teams.

Before joining IDC, Doorly worked for Gartner for over 20 years, most recently as Group Vice President for the Global Information Security, Privacy and Compliance group. Previous roles at Gartner included managing Gartner's global hardware research, and Dataquest's European research.  Doorly started her career as a high performance computing analyst.  She also worked in high tech aerospace research, and for a management consultancy, as well as a high performance parallel computing start up.

Doorly has a MA in Maths and Doctorate in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, as well as an ARCM from Royal College of Music.
