Ruth Flynn is a Senior Research Analyst managing IDC’s Worldwide Mobile Phone Tracker program. She first joined IDC in 2008 as an analyst for the Worldwide Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker program. She is responsible for managing mobile phone tracker business development and project execution, as well as coordinating the worldwide process to deliver mobile phone market data on a quarterly basis.

Prior to 2008, Ruth worked as a high school math teacher, and before that she worked as an Industrial Engineer for IBM in its state of the art 300mm semiconductor fab. There she was responsible for reporting and analysis of manufacturing workflow data to drive improvements in productivity and efficiency.
