As Senior Research Analyst for the Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker program, Jay Chou manages the data collection and analysis for IDC's global PC research team to produce a quarterly perspective on the state of the PC industry. Mr. Chou is also the lead analyst for the Worldwide PC Monitor Tracker and the Enterprise Client Devices Tracker, providing perspective on the market for LCD monitors and Thin/Terminal Clients. He frequently participates in industry briefings with clients and regularly speaks with the media to discuss market trends. Mr. Chou has been quoted in various trade and business publications, including the Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining IDC in 2008, Mr. Chou held various positions in the PC/IT industry for ten years. He last served in a sales/business development role for Supermicro, working closely with systems integrators specializing in custom server solutions. He also worked as a Web Developer for a PC distributor.

Mr. Chou has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University. He is also a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
