Regional Manager, North Africa
Ouafa Kathir is the country manager of IDC North Africa. She is in charge of business and research development in the region, as well as strategic and day-to-day management of the office.
Kathir has more than 13 years of experience in management and project management. She participated in development projects within Morocco's Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Interior, as well as working for more than six years as marketing and development manager in a leading local telecommunications company in North Africa.
Ouafa Kathir also acted as a senior consultant for non-governmental organizations in project management and monitoring. She worked for the CEAR-Habitafrica habitability project in Morocco, the SURT women's entrepreneurship program, and several other projects carried out by international foundations such as EuroMed Heritage, ReabitMED, ADEME, MEDA, and UNESCO.
Besides that, Kathir has been active in the academic field, lecturing in management communication, gender policy, and project management at universities and high schools in Morocco.
Ouafa Kathir obtained her MBA in 1998 and holds master's degrees in project management and gender mainstreaming and gender responsive budgeting. She speaks Arabic, French, Spanish, English, and some Italian.
