Frantisek Balogh, who is based at IDC's Prague office, joined IDC CEMA in 2011. As a regional business development manager for consulting in the Central and Eastern Europe region, he is responsible for development and management of consulting projects for all IT technology groups and country markets within the region.
Prior to taking up his current position with IDC, Balogh worked for several multinational IT vendors, including Sun Microsystems and Bull, and also as an independent consultant in project and program management. He has broad experience in the development of IT projects, solutions, and advisory sales, as well as project implementation and management both from the IT vendor and IT user points of view, the latter from the perspective of government and in particular the public sector.
Balogh is a PMP certified project manager. He studied management of information systems, as well as strategic management of technology and innovation, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems from the American College of Computer and Information Sciences, Birmingham, AL, and an MBA degree from the American Sentinel University, Denver, CO. In addition to his native Slovak and Hungarian, he is fluent in English and Czech.
